Now
What I'm doing right now.
Updated March 2026 ยท Utah
A canonical snapshot of where my attention actually is. Not a highlight reel. Not a pitch. Just the honest current state of things.
Building
Startup Science: leading marketing for a platform trying to reduce the startup failure rate by 20%. We're building the operating system for the startup ecosystem.
Day job
Founder Playbooks: a modular coaching system I'm developing to help early-stage founders with the practical work of GTM, sales, and operations. This is the methodology behind my consulting work.
Active
Kingsfoil Health: a health insurance brokerage focused on startups and self-employed people. Restoring some dignity to a broken system, one founder at a time.
Active
This website: finally building a public home that's more than a LinkedIn profile. You're looking at the early version of it.
In progress
Learning
Russian: ongoing. I work as a linguist for the Army National Guard. This one never really stops.
Daily
Magic: The Gathering: new rabbit hole. The game design is more interesting than I expected. The lore is genuinely good.
New
ADHD: diagnosed about eighteen months ago. I'm still in the phase where everything I read reframes something I thought I understood about myself.
Ongoing
Serving
Utah Army National Guard: I'm a soldier and Russian linguist. Part-time, but it shapes how I think about commitment, systems, and what it means to be responsible for something.
Part-time
Family: my wife and kids are the center of everything. I'm in my dad era and I'm not apologizing for it. This is the most important project I have.
Always
Consuming
Warhammer 40K lore. The grimdark philosophy is genuinely interesting beneath the skulls.
Ongoing
Films that make me feel things. Specifically looking for recommendations if you have them.

Guarding my focus
- I'm very selective about new projects right now. My energy is going into bettering the startup ecosystem through Startup Science and the Founder Playbooks.
- If something aligns with that mission, I'm open to conversation. If it doesn't, I'll be honest about it.
The "now page" concept comes from Derek Sivers. It's a simple way to answer the question "what are you up to these days?" without the noise of social media or the formality of a full bio. I update this when things meaningfully change.
